Who can participate?
All RFC members, family and friends are welcome.
Pilots of all experience (including students) are invited to participate. Not sure if you are ready to participate or are feeling a little rusty at the controls? No problem, volunteer safety pilots can be made available. Contact us for more information.
How to participate:
Generally, we plan on a 9h00 Sunday departure and ask that all participants meet in the RFC ground school room just prior at 8h30 for a brief discussion of the flight. Anyone requiring a more detailed planning discussion prior to the Sunday please let us know and one can be arranged.
For more distant destinations a planning and discussion meeting will be held the Thursday prior to the Sunday departure. For example, the meeting for the June 6th trip will be held on Thursday, June 3rd. Please check the schedule below for the dates of the Thursday meetings.
Still not sure if you‘d like to participate, want more information, or would like to participate as a passenger? Then come on out on Sunday mornings to meet the pilots and other participants or attend one of the planning meetings.
Aircraft will be dispatched on a first come first serve basis and subject to CFI approval. Aircraft are rented in accordance with the RFC cross-country guidelines. The club aircraft will be held until the Thursday evening prior to the date of departure and then released into regular club rotation if not booked.
The trips may be booked in conjunction with the Wider Horizons Program provided that there are no conflicts in scheduling.
