RFC Annual General Meeting

Fri, 10.04.2015 - 10:46

NOTICE OF THE ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
To be held at 0900 on Saturday, 25 April 2015
Rockcliffe Flying Club,
Ottawa, Ontario

Fellow members

The Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Rockcliffe Flying Club (1961) will be held at 0900 on Saturday 25 April 2015.  Attendance at the AGM is open to all members of the Flying Club.  All Sustaining Members and Life Members in good standing are entitled to vote at the meeting.

On the agenda will be:

  • an overview of the Club status and progress through 2014;
  • a review of the recent financial statements and auditor’s report;
  • appointment of auditors;
  • elections to the Board of Directors; and
  • other business as may be brought before the meeting.

The Rockcliffe Flying Club is overseen by a Board of up to seven (7), but no fewer than six (6), Directors elected to two-year terms.  The current Board comprises six Directors and we anticipate five vacancies to be filled at the AGM.  All Sustaining members (licensed pilots who have been members for more than one year) and Life members, in good standing, are entitled to run for election to the Board of Directors.  Those members who wish to stand for election to the Board must file notice of such wish no later than ten (10) days before the appointed time for such election.  Such notice may be filed with the Membership Services Manager or the Secretary of the Board.

The Flying Club will be open for regular business on that day, so after the meeting is complete you will be able to go flying, mingle at the BBQ or meet individually with members of the board in a more informal social setting.

We look forward to your attendance.

Anthony (Tony) Hunt
Secretary of the Board,
Rockcliffe Flying Club
